The Antique Auto and Truck Museum provides visitors with the opportunity to view numerous antique cars, including a 1925 Howard Cooper (one of four built) and a 1926 Yellow Knight (one of three known to still exist). Also of interest, antique farm machinery and a blacksmith shop. Open Memorial Day through Labor Day, Friday through Monday from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. No admission charge, but donations welcome.
Take a step back in time and visit the Harry Kaufman cabin, the oldest surviving structure in Republic, Washington. The interior of the small, furnished cabin can be viewed through the front door (secured with mesh). Built in 1896, the cabin was moved a short distance to its current location. Read more
Ancient impressions captured in stone….
Fifty million years ago, during the Eocene Epoch, the area now occupied by Republic, Washington lay beneath the waters of an ancient lake. As the lake bed filled with volcanic ash and sediment, leaves, flowers, fish, and insects were trapped in the layers of resulting mud. Read more
