Located on the corner of 6th Street and Clark Avenue in the center of Republic, Washington’s historic district, Flowers Et Cetera is a well-rounded gift store, stocking a wide selection of collectibles, crystal vases, fresh and silk flowers, fresh plants, candles, incense, balloons, cards, scented envelope sachets, coat hooks, snow globes, holiday ornaments, wind chimes, baskets, clocks, teapots, and sculpture. And...that's not all. Flowers Et Cetera also sells fine chocolates, and tickets to local music and theater events.
Because the flower shop is also co-located with the contract liquor store (managed by Doug Sauer), Flowers Et Cetera is able to provide its customers with nearly every ingredient needed for a special event. "I think of this as Republic’s one-stop love shop," says store owner Katherine Meade, with a smile. She points out that customers can find nearly everything they need for a special event or date. "We have a diverse and affordable selection of gifts from $2.50 to $200.00 to satisfy any gift-giving impulse." As I glance around, it isn't hard for me to imagine a customer stepping into her shop for a card and flowers and emerging with a bouquet of flowers in one arm, and chocolates and an inexpensive bottle of Washington wine tucked in the other.
